Goodbye, Sunshine — a book about my retiring parents, revised!
This was mainly compiled for my family, but I’m happy to share the small-town Chinese restaurant experience with anyone who wants a look. (Full preview below the cover image.)
Hei Shou and Maryam sold their small-town Chinese restaurant, bidding farewell to the only lifestyle they’d known for 40 years.
Goodbye, Sunshine, is an ode to their final business — Sunshine Restaurant — a place they called home for almost half that time.

On Sunday, over 200 chefs congregated in Toronto’s Woodbine Park, dishing out bowls of soup to support the fight against the proposed MegaQuarry.
I wish all protests were this tasty.
