This makes me miss India. Also, I would love to see North American truckers adopt a similar gusto for decoration and colour.
There are some interesting wedges in this city. You just have to stop and look around once in a while.

Being Elvis Presley (Photo essay by: Connie Tsang)
It’s been 35 years since the death of Elvis Presley, but Nashville’s Elvis, Chuck Baril, keeps his spirit alive, bringing his jewelled jumpsuit, shades, and high kicks down to Broadway, the city’s famed honky tonk strip.

I love seniors. Seniors that square-dance? Even better.
(PHOTOS: Connie Tsang) In Nashville, Tennessee, a tight-knit group of square-dancers meets at halls and churches to do-si-do, socialize, snack on cheesies, and offer the most genuine “yellow rocks” (hugs) that you’ll ever experience in your life.
The dancers are primarily individuals and couples over 50, most of whom attend at least 2 or 3 events a week, while some known as “diehards” are hitting the floor almost every night. And for good reason, too; it not only fulfills the need for physical activity, but for those who’ve lost a life-long partner or are recuperating from an illness, the square-dancing community is the best support system they could ask for.
I recently went to Nashville, rented a car, and took off for Crossville, TN. My mission? To speak to Horace Burgess, the minister and builder of the World’s Largest Treehouse built for God.

Viktoria loves dogs.
Last month I met her in her Upper East Side home, talked dogs and the animal rescue cause, and spent an afternoon hanging out with the pups.

I met Janie earlier this year and asked if I could tag along while she bought shoes. This was our day.

Part of an ongoing project documenting seniors living independently.
Know someone 75+ who lives on his or her own + not shy about being documented? I’d ideally spend at least an hour hanging out and getting to know them w/ some time after for pictures + a short interview.
